They are a licensed Maine based nonprofit adoption agency. If you are either pregnant or want to adopt, contact us for more information. They have over 20 years combined experience. They have been through the adoption process personally. They want you to know that someone does care for you. They provide birthmothers with the freedom to make decisions regarding the adoption process up until after delivery. They also provide many services for the birthmother, including prenatal vitamins, maternity clothing, transportation, medical referrals, and other connections to local resources.

The purpose of the Good Samaritan Agency is to help individuals who have special needs concerning pregnancy and parenting to gain the services and support they need to improve the quality of their lives. They provide adoption resources, support for birth parents, teen parenting classes, and affordable childcare services.
- New Hope Women’s Shelter State
Their mission is to serve women and children who are homeless and assist them in practical ways. They are happy to provide case managers who are available 5 days each week to help navigate the different goal areas the women are working on. These goals include medical, social, education, employment, and long-term housing.
- Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter State
Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter (MMHS) provides emergency overnight shelter and programs to rebuild lives for those in need. MMHS is a 40-bed facility that includes 24 beds for single men and women and 24 beds in their family unit. They also offer ‘pack-n-play’ and toddler beds for infants to three-year-old. The shelter provides evening and morning meals, showers, bedding, laundry facilities, connections to other local services, short-term preventative case management, access to housing, a Homeless Prevention Program, and much more.
- Bread Life Ministries Shelter State
The Homeless Shelter offers a warm, welcoming, and safe facility to those needing shelter. The shelter is located on Hospital Street across from Riverview Psychiatric Center, a little over a mile from the Soup Kitchen. Originally having only 10 beds, the shelter now offers 20 beds, and 10 overflow beds each night to help those who are homeless.

A safe haven provider means: a law enforcement officer, staff at a medical emergency room, medical services provider, hospital staff member at a hospital, firefighter, and person staffing a facility with a safe haven baby box.

In Maine, a person may voluntarily deliver his baby not more than 31 days old to any safe haven provider with intent not to take back the newborn. A Safe Haven location refers to a hospital, emergency room, law enforcement agency, medical service provider, and a fire station.

- Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter State
Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter (MMHS) provides emergency overnight shelter and programs to rebuild lives for those in need. MMHS is a 40-bed facility that includes 24 beds for single men and women and 24 beds in their family unit. They also offer ‘pack-n-play’ and toddler beds for infants to three-year-old. The shelter provides evening and morning meals, showers, bedding, laundry facilities, connections to other local services, short-term preventative case management, access to housing, a Homeless Prevention Program, and much more.
