APAC services are available to all adoptive family members. First Light is a Center for Homeless Women and Children located in the heart of downtown Birmingham. It offers the only emergency shelter accepting homeless women and families 24 hours a day in the area. In addition, First Light also offers a permanent housing program.

Hope Harbor accomplishes provides services to families experiencing homelessness. They help meet their needs for safe shelter, meals, and supportive case management with a goal of obtaining permanent housing and becoming self-sufficient.
