Newcomb Children’s Center is located on Tulane’s uptown campus and offers programs for children twelve months to five years of age.

They focus on whole-child learning that engages children with the material and stimulates their developing minds. They have outdoor learning areas and a unique rooftop playground to encourage social and physical growth, and a lending library to spark an early love of reading. Your child can learn science concepts by discovering how things grow in the gardens, and then harvest

Their mission is to connect children in foster care to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to thrive. They recruit new foster families from local churches, develop them into competent caregivers for kids from hard places through training in TBRI®, and support them through the ups and downs of their journey as foster parents.

To support all families in accessing high quality child care, the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides financial assistance to low-income families while they are working or attending school.

The preschool provides services for LSU students, staff, and faculty, furthers the Flagship research agenda in instruction, research and service, provides high quality early childhood services, and functions as a self-supporting entity.

Beacon House Adoption Services has a long tradition of working with adoptive families and birth parents throughout the United States. Beacon House Adoption Services no waiting list policy, in-house recruitment of Birthmothers, low staff turnover, and over 30 years’ experience contribute to the high success rate of our Domestic Infant Adoption Program.

Youth Oasis’ programming is designed to provide support services to youth and young adults and their families as they face challenging situations. These programs aim to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty in our community and in turn, throughout our state.

Lean On Me, Inc. provides Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing for Single Women 18 to 65. Lean On Me, Inc. (LOM) Mission Statement is to show love by providing affordable housing, case management, counseling, educational support, and recourses to women in need. 

The Christian Outreach Center of Baton Rouge is a homeless intervention ministry helping people toward self-sufficiency. The COC exists to help people towards self-sufficiency and restored dignity through employment. They provide assistance with the following: food bags, hygiene kits, vouchers to our clothing closet or thrift stores, IDs, transportation, and utility assistance.
