Every month, Standing With You is proud to highlight a Students for Life of America (SFLA) student group that has achieved great things while serving women, families, and babies. For December 2023, we are happy to feature an outstanding SFLA group from Oregon: the Vikings for Life at Forest Grove (Vikings for Life)!
Based at Forest Grove High School, the Vikings for Life have worked hard to support pregnant and parenting students on campus, as well as those in their community.
This year, the group focused particularly on educating themselves about how to support women through SFLA’s official Supportive Services training, Supporting Her, which details how to walk with pregnant and parenting students. After being trained, they plan to put their education into action and will be hosting a diaper drive to support their local pregnancy help organization.
Forest Grove High School also offers daycare to those who need it, creating a campus culture that supports mothers continuing their education through pregnancy and beyond into parenting.
