Ithaca College recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for working mothers and their infants and and in promoting a family-friendly work environment. The College provides reasonable time away from work for lactating mothers to express breast milk and will make reasonable efforts to provide a private room or other location in proximity to the work area for such activity.

The Peggy Ryan Williams Center has a room that has been designated and designed specifically for the support of mother to express breast milk. This lockable room includes comfortable chairs, a small table, an Occupied sign, access to electrical outlets, a mini-refrigerator, cleaning supplies for surfaces and hands, computer with internet access, and a phone. Private reservations can be made through Outlook by searching for “Lactation Room (PRWC G27)” under Rooms.
